On July 26th, Willie McKercher P.E. from our Madison office was a reviewer at a Brownfield Grant de-briefing organized by ADEM to help strengthen the applications of Alabama communities that applied for Brownfield Assessment Grant funding this past cycle but were unsuccessful. There were four communities in attendance. ADEM invited EPA representatives and four private grant writers/reviewers, including Willie, to attend the workshop and provide feedback on the applications. It was set up in a round-robin style where each community had time
to talk to a reviewer for 20 minutes and get their feedback. This opportunity allowed Willie to help multiple communities revise their approach to obtain federal Brownfield Grant funding.
