Lindsay Langer Attends the Annual Geological Society of America meeting in Phoenix, Arizona

Recently, Lindsey Langer, Staff Scientist in EarthCon’s Anaheim, CA office, had the opportunity to present her thesis work at the annual Geological Society of America (GSA) meeting, held in Phoenix, AZ from September 22-25th. Over the last year and a half, Lindsey worked under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey R. Knott at Cal State University, Fullerton in Fullerton, CA to complete an undergraduate thesis project titled, “CLAST PROVENANCE, TEPHROCHRONOLOGY AND DETRITAL ZIRCON DATING OF PLIOCENE FLUVIAL CONGLOMERATE, DEEP SPRINGS VALLEY, CA: IMPLICATIONS FOR EASTERN CALIFORNIA PALEOHYDROLOGY.” Throughout the conference, she attended talks, symposiums, and workshops; talked to exhibitors; viewed other poster sessions; and discussed her new position as a staff scientist at EarthCon.
